Elena Cojocaru, FNP-BC

Elena Cojocaru, FNP-BC, is a highly skilled Registered Nurse with over 15 years of specialized experience in various hospital units, including ICU, Oncology, Medical Surgical, and Psychiatric settings. 

She holds key certifications such as CCRN, BLS, ACLS, TCAR, and NIHSS, along with being a New York Family Nurse Practitioner and a Registered Nurse in the state of New York.

Elena’s educational background includes a Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner from Lehman College in New York, where she also completed her RN to BSN program with Cum Laude Honors. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the State Medical and Pharmaceutical University in Chisinau, Moldova, which has been evaluated as equivalent to a combined BS / MD degree.

Throughout her career, Elena has gained valuable experience from esteemed institutions such as Mount Sinai Queens, Bellevue Hospital, Jamaica Hospital and Medical Center, Montefiore Medical Center, Maimonides Medical Center, and more. She has also worked in diverse healthcare settings, including cardiac ICU, neuro-surgical ICU, medical surgical units, home care, oncology, surgical units, and psychiatric clinics.

Elena is dedicated to continuous learning and professional development, as evidenced by her role as an NCLEX-RN Tutor at the Research Foundation of CUNY (LaGuardia Community College) and her active involvement in organizations like the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
